part 2 daily dose may 2nd

Yes, i am back after a brief visit to check my mails.
It is now 11.30 in the night and i am still awake! Might not happen from tomorrow once the baby comes home. My posts will get smaller and lalitha might write more.
Early this afternoon, the midwife removed the two pressure bandages on Lalitha's tummy and asked lalitha to take a nice shower to forget all the pain she went through over the past few days.
The surgical cut has healed pretty well. I was impressed at the progress. The midwife was happy too.
Sometimes i wonder about the profile of people who read this blog. I primarily mean this blog to be more of a 'dairy' or a small note of things big and small, consequential and absolutely useless, rational and idiotic, everything which makes our day, especially in the context of our daughter reaching our lives. And a dairy is supposed to be a personal thing. But at this point of time, i am really okay sharing all this stuff.
Maybe twenty years from now i plan to present this to my daughter as a historic take on the road she travelled with us, but that is anyway a stupid thing to really think about so early in the life of this blog.
I also sometimes think about the kind of people who read this blog. I am from India, the southern part of india. we speak a language called telugu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telugu_language) which is spoken by over 10 crore people ( 100 Million- guesstimate) which is almost the size of 1/3 USA population.
I am going to mention a lot of rituals and poojas which we do for the good of the baby ( as and when they happen). People who are conversant with the hindu tradition as practised in south india might find this normal. For those who are not familiar with indian rituals, please do not threat the poojas which i mention as authoritative. Traditions vary widely across india. I shall try to portray the events which we do for our daughter. I hope that u enjoy knowing abt those traditions!

Little Me said...

Congratulations on your beautiful little blessing! I happened here just blog surfing and I couldn't help saying that. These early days can be vexing and tiresome, but they are also beautiful and you only have them once. Soon they will pass, mother will be healed, and you will find your new normal. I hope the best for you all.
Again, many congratulations. Life is truly a miracle.
